Join the Photonics Online Meetup (POM, https://photonicsonlinemeetup.orgExternal link), a completely free virtual conference dedicated to uniting a diverse community of researchers, including both early career enthusiasts and established experts from universities, industry, and government sectors all across the globe. Our mission is to highlight the pivotal role of optics and photonics in our everyday lives.
To be a part of this exciting experience, we invite you to join us at our local POM hub in Jena. At our hub, we will host live broadcasts of POM events, in addition to a range of local activities designed to enhance your conference experience. These local events encompass professional talks, networking opportunities, engaging poster and presentation sessions, lively pizza and drink gatherings, thought-provoking round table discussions, and illuminating local laboratory tours.
For our poster and presentation sessions, we enthusiastically encourage students at all levels to participate. You can share any scientific contribution, whether it's from a previous conference, a group meeting, or your coursework. Bring your ideas to the table and gain invaluable insights from our experienced researchers, professors, and industry professionals. There's no need to submit an abstract in advance; simply share your work during the event while enjoying pizza and drinks with your peers.
If you don't have a presentation ready, no worries! You can still join us as an attendee and engage in knowledge exchange. However, we strongly encourage all students to seize this opportunity to refine their professional communication and presentation skills, as it will prepare you for future presentations in larger, more formal conferences.
