Autumn school of the GRK

In October 2017 students of the GRK attended the International Autumn School with the Canadian partners at the Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada. Prof. Réal Vallée from the University Laval hosted the event from October 30 to November 2, 2017 which joined about 35 doctoral students and their PIs for scientic reports, workshops and discussions. The main goal was to update the partners about the ongoing projects and to strengthen the German-Canadian exchange and the existing cooperations.

The first two days were filled with presentations of the participating students from Université Laval, University of Toronto and the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Montréal and the FSU Jena. On Wednesday the students had to get cerative during a pitch workshop offered by Reinhold Pabst of the Fraunhofer IOF. Using crafting material, coloful tape, stickers & lego the student developed own ideas in international groups and competed in an elevator pitch.
