Dr. Brunner is a distinguished pioneer in the field of photonic neural networks, with his work focusing on novel computing methods using quantum and nonlinear substrates. His significant contributions include over 60 invited talks, more than 50 publications, and several prestigious awards such as the IOP Journal of Physics: Photonics Emerging Leader 2021 Prize and the CNRS Bronze Medal in 2022. His current projects are pioneering in integrating scalable and autonomous neural networks using innovative 3D-printed photonic technology and VCSEL lasers.
